Mother of Two Dies In Car-Truck Crash

ARCHBOLD, O. FAMILY IN FATAL ACCIDENT ON U.S. HIGHWAY 6

Archbold, Ohio — An Archbold mother of two children was almost instantly killed and her husband seriously injured in a car-truck collision on U.S. Highway 6 west of Napoleon July 13.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Heiser, 43, of Route 2, Archbold, were conducted July 15 at the Evangelical Mennonite church here, Rev. H. E. Bertsche officiating.

Mrs. Reiser's [sic Heiser's] husband was taken to a Toledo hospital with a punctured lung, broken ribs, cut on the forehead and a knee cap injury. Their 11-year-old daughter, Judith, was riding in the back seat and was not injured, while a son, Douglas, was not with the family at the time.
