Youth Killed When Gun Is Discharged
ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIFE OF 11-YEAR-OLD CLIFFORD HEINRICHS IN OKLAHOMA
Corn, Okla. — Funeral services were conducted at the Mennonite Brethren church here Sept. 12 for Clifford Heinrichs, 11-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Heinrichs who was killed in the accidental discharge of a gun at the Heinrichs farm on Sept. 9. Rev. J. P. Kliewer, the pastor, officiated.
The youth and his brother, J. Lee, were doing some work in the wash house when they found the rifle, placed there for the purpose of shooting stray dogs. They were playing with it when it accidentaly discharged, striking Clifford in the face and killing him instantly.
The youth was in the seventh grade in the Corn school.
