Pioneer of Oklahoma Area Dies at Age 92

Corn, Okla. — Funeral services for P. L. Heidebrecht, 92, one of the pioneer settlers in this Washita County community, were held Sept. 1 in the Bergthal Mennonite Church near here. He died Aug. 29 at the Cordell Christian Home.

A native of Marion County, Kan., Mr. Heidebrecht came to this area with his parents at the age of 18. The family homesteaded southwest of Corn, and Mr. Heidebrecht later took up his own homestead northwest of town, which remained the family homestead. He had lived in the Corn Home for Aged in retirement. He was a charter member of the Bergthal Church.

Surviving are three daughters and two sons and their families.
