ELIZABETH HEIDEBRECHT

Miss Elizabeth Heidebrecht passed away at her home in Jansen, Neb. Saturday, Oct. 24, 1959, at the age of 82 years, eight months and two days.

The third child of John and Agnes Friesen Heidebrecht, she was born at Jansen on Feb. 22, 1877. She lived at Jansen all her life except for five years when she resided at Meade, Kan. Since 1925 she had been living with her sister, Margaret.

She was converted at the age of 18 years and was baptized in the Mennonite church by Abraham L. Friesen and later joined the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren church at Jansen.

Four brothers, Peter I, Peter II, John I and John II; two sisters Katie and Lena, and a step-sister, Anna, Mrs. Joe Quiring, preceded he in death.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Boldt of York, Mrs. Peter F. Brandt of Steinbach, Manitoba, and Miss Margaret Heidebrecht of the home in Jansen; step-sister, Mrs. George A. Rempel; of Jansen, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Jansen Evangelical Mennonite Brethren church with Rev. Paul F. Goossen officiating, assisted by Rev. Wiebe, chaplain at the Mennonite hospital in Beatrice. Interment was in the Jansen cemetery.
