D. A. Heidebrecht

D. A. Heidebrecht was born in the village of Waldheim, in southern Russia in the year 1872, June 9th. In 1874 he emigrated, with his parents to America, where in McPherson county, Kansas, he spent his youth and grew to manhood. On Nov. 28, 1898, he was married to Margaret Enss, who preceded him in death April 18, 1912. To this union were born one daughter and four sons, one of whom died in infancy.

He was again married on the 14th day of November, 1912, to Maria Krause of Hillsboro, Kansas. To this union were born two sons and two daughters, all living.

Mr. Heidebrecht was a farm and has followed this occupation all his life except for a few years when he left his farm east of Big Lake and moved to Hillsboro, Kansas, on account of his wife's health. After her death however, he gain moved on a farm and this time in Little River, in the northeast corner of Reno county, where he lived when the end came.

In 1912 he joined the Mennonite Brethren Church at Buhler. He endeavored to bring up his family in the principles of his religion and was a good husband and father. During the last few years he suffered from Bright's disease and high blood pressure. Last thanksgiving Day he suffered a stroke of apoplexy and again on January 27, 1930. After this his suffering was most intense until, Feb. 4, 1930 the end came.

He is mourned by his widow, three daughters, five sons, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, six brother sand three sisters., and a large host of friends and relatives. — Buhler Review.
