Three years ago she suffered a paralytic stroke which left her partially paralyzed. one year later she had a second stroke from which she seemed to recover. Five weeks ago she fell in her home, fracturing her hip, and was rapidly recovering from an operation in which the doctor pinned the broken bone together. On July 11, she suffered a cerebral hemmorrhage [sic] which with other complications resulted in her death.

As long as she was able she traveled with her husband to out of the way places in Maryland, Kentucky and Pennsylvania where they conducted Bible schools.

She was known as "Mom" to everyone who knew her. She made her contribution by caring for the small children of young mothers who assisted in teaching in the Bible schools.

She was a woman of prayer, believing the promises of God and claiming them for herself. She expressed herself as being ready to go to be with her Savior, and was in readiness for that meeting over there.

She was a fine example of devotion to God, her husband and her family, loving and cheerful at all times.

The funeral service was held at the Oak Grove church at 2:00 o'clock Thursday, July 18, 1957, Nelson Kanagy officiating, assisted by Eli Nisley of Plain city, Ohio. Interment was made at the South Union cemetery near West Liberty.
