SARAH L. HARTZLER

Sarah L. Dintamam [sic Dintaman] Hartzler was born near Wooster, Ohio, March 12, 1876; died at a local hospital in Colorado Springs, April 13, 1946. Age 70 years, 1 month and 1 day.

At the age of eight years she moved with her parents to Jasper county, Missouri, where she grew to womanhood. In her later teens she accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with the Mennonite church..

In the spring of 1902 she was united in marriage with E. J. Hartzler of East Lynne, Missouri. To this union were born nine children, three of whom preceded her to the better world. Children remaining are John S. Hartzler of Michigan, Nelle M. Selzer of Protection, Kansas, Emma Unger of Pueblo, Colo., Erie L. O. Driscoll of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Hannah Dingwell of Denver, Colo., Daniel D. Hartzler of Colorado Springs, Colo.

In her service for her Lord she had many Sunday School classes and served well in whatever way she could. May the Lord give her many souls for her labors.

In the spring of 1916 she moved with her family to La Junta, Colo. In the spring of 1929 she moved to Colorado Springs which was her home until the Lord called her home to be with Him.

In 1938 she had a heart attack and had to remain in bed 20 weeks. By good care she recovered but not perfectly well. On Saturday morning, April 13, at 9 a. m. another attack came. She was taken to a local hospital, and at 7 p. m. the Lord called her home to be with Him. Mother labored long and hard to accomplish the work the Lord had for her. In her death she leaves her husband, E. J. Hartzler, two sons, four daughters, and 16 grandchildren; one brother, L. W. Dintaman, Bergen Park, Colo., one sister, Mrs. F. A. Neuschwanger of Denver, Colo., and many other friends and relatives.

The family wishes to submit to the Lord and return her to God who gave her to us. May she henceforth rest in peace. — The Family.
