Fred Hartzler, 66, died while attending a sale in Centre County. His wife, Dorothy, and two daughters, Julia Alleman of Michigan and Audrey Eby of Lancaster survive. Also surviving are four grandchildren, two sisters, Beatrice Roth and Janet Zook, and one brother, George. He was a farmer living on the land where he was born. Services were held at Beth-El Mennonite Church, with Elrose Hartzler, Chester Kanagy and Lloyd Eby officiating.
