ABRAHAM L. HARTZLER

Abraham L., son of Jonathan A. and Nancy Hartzler, was born in Elkhart county, Indiana June 5, 1865, and passed away Feb. 13, 1952, at the Burkey Nursing Home in Petoskey, Mich, aged 86 years, eight months, eight days.

He was married to Lydia Schrock in March 1896. To this union were born five children. Two of them, Leona and Elvin, preceded him in death.

In April 1904 he with his family moved to Fairview, Mich., where he lived until Oct. 5, 1951, when he went to the Nursing Home. His wife passed to her reward on May 30, 1925.

He was a faithful member of the Fairview Mennonite church.

He leaves to mourn his passing one son Russell of Clarksville, Mich., two daughters, Alta, Mrs. A. W. Rhoads of Comins, Mich., Eldora at home, and a foster son, James Posar of Hesston, Kans., ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Feb. 16 in the Fairview Mennonite church, and were conducted by Harvey Handrich and Menno Esch. Interment in the Fairview cemetery.
