Boy Swallows Rifle Shell Which Causes Death.

Belleville, Pa. — While at play Sunday, November 26, Glenn Harshbarger, 5 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. John l. Harshbarger, Mattawanna, accidentally swallowed an exploded 22 calibre shell. Death came to the small boy as a result of this accident, on Sunday at the Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia.

X-ray pictures at the Lewistown Hospital revealed the shell in the boy's lung but the lung was so effected that it was deemed necessary to take the boy to specialists in Philadelphia. Efforts there to save him failed and the small boy died three days after being admitted.

Glen was an attendant of the Mennonite Church at Mattawanna at which the principal services were conducted at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning. — Belleville Times.
