Kornelia Harder was born on Sept. 1, 1884, to Mr. and Mrs. Johann Harder on a farm near Henderson, in York county, Nebr. She was the fifth daughter of the family.

After the death of her parents the home was broken up. Together with her sister Helena they established a home in the town of Henderson.

Following a stroke, her health failed considerably. When it became apparent that the two sisters were unable to take care of themselves, they were admitted to the Klinger nursing home in Aurora. Nebr. In Feb. 1949 the Sunshine Home in Buhler, Kans. became their home. Here she became helpless and was confined to her bed most of the time.

On Dec. 4, 1950, she was transferred back to the Klinger Nursing home in Aurora. On Dec. 13 she recognized some friends who came to see her, but Friday it became apparent the end of her life was near.
