text of obituary:

MRS. C. F. HARDER

Elizabeth Richert Harder, our dear wife and mother, was born Dec. 23, 1883, to the late Rev. and Mrs. Abraham Richert of Corn, Okla.

On July 1, 1906, she was united in holy wedlock to Cornelius F. Harder. To this happy union were born three sons and one daughter.

In 1908 she realized her lost condition and accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and was baptized on Jan. 6, 1909, and taken into the Mennonite Brethren Church at Corn, Okla.

In 1928 she, and all of the family, moved to the Falfurrias and Premont vicinity in Texas. It has been a great joy for us to have had our wife and mother so near by. Her loyalty to God and family can never be forgotten. She spent much of her time reading the Bible and in prayer.

On Oct. 11, 1952 she suffered a stroke from which she never completely recovered. Although her speech never returned and she was unable to converse with us, we were nearly always able to know her wishes. She accepted her lot and couldn’t have been more patient. Her trust was in the Lord and He saw her through her troubles. On Feb. 27, 1955, she had another stroke, and on March 3, at 2:25 a.m. the Lord saw fit to take her from her earthly home.

She reached the age of 71 years and two months. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Cornelius F. Harder; three sons, Abe, William, and Sam; one daughter, Fay; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers, three daughters-in-law, and one son-in-law.
