text of obituary:

LEONARD FRANK HAMM

Leonard Frank Hamm was born in Paso Robles, Calif. on Feb. 1, 1928.

He accepted the Lord as his Saviour early in youth, was baptized upon the confession of his faith on May 28, 1944, and became a member of the Willow Creek Mennonite Church.

He attended the Oak Dale grammar school and was a graduate of the Templeton high school, class of 1946. Since that time he had been employed locally. Recently he started farming in the San Miguel area together with his brother.

Leonard was a very friendly person with a sunny disposition, and made many friends wherever he went.

He leaves to mourn his sudden passing his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hamm; his brother Rudolf of Paso Robles; three sisters, Mrs. Cecil Smiley of Shandon, Mrs. Edgar Fisher of Turlock and Mrs. Waymon Richmond of Paso Robles; ten nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Leonard was killed instantly Saturday morning, Dec 29, in a car accident. He attained the age of 28 years, 10 months and 27 days.

How soon his life was spent. Yet we shall long remember him. We sorrow not as though we had no hope. "For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep." (I Thess. 4:14).
