RUBEN C. GUENTHER

Ruben C. Guenther, the son of Daniel P. and Tina Reimer Guenther, was born at Corn, Okla., on May 7, 1911, and departed this life on July16, 1958. He reached the age of 47 years, two months, and nine days.

At the age of 13 years he moved with his parents to Felt, Okla. and in 1928 to Coldwater, Texas. Five years later he came to Reedley, Calif., where he resided the rest of his days.

As a youth of 16 years at a revival service he claimed Christ as his Saviour.

On Jan. 5, 1940, he joined in holy wedlock with Miss Adena Hildebrandt. This union was blessed with one daughter who was the source of much joy to him. He was a kind and loving husband and father. We will miss him greatly. He worked hard at the various jobs in which he was employed.

In the last few years his health began to fail and during the last year it was quite difficult at times for him to work. His departure was rather unexpected and sudden, the cause being a heart attack.

He leaves to mourn his sudden going his wife, Mrs. Adena Guenther, and his daughter Ruby, both of Reedley; his father, Daniel F. Guenther of Reedley; two brothers, Herman R. Guenther of Fresno, Calif. and Frank R. Guenther, Reedley; three sisters, Elsie Guenther, a missionary in Africa, Frieda, Mrs. Elmer Kusch of Reedley, and Betty Guenther of Reedley; one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, his father-in-law, Jacob Hildebrandt and family, as well as many other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held in the Reedley M. B. Church on July 21,with Rev. Dan Friesen and Rev. H. R. Wiens officiating.
