MRS. CAROLINA GRUNDMAN

Carolina (Albrecht) Grundman was born to Jacob and Anna Albrecht at Marion, S. D. on March 26, 1889. She attended grade school there and was baptized in the Salem-Zion Mennonite Church near Freeman on June 11, 1905. In 1915 the family moved to Bloomfield, Mont.

She was married to Fred Grundman on Oct. 26, 1919, and they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary recently. Five children were born to their marriage. They lived on the farm at Moundridge, Kan. for some years and then lived on a farm near Valley Center, Kan. until they moved to Moundridge over a year ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Grundman joined the First Mennonite Church of Christian, Moundridge, on Jan. 12, 1964, transferring from the Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church in Wichita. She was active in the Sisters Mission Society and attended worship services faithfully.

She passed away suddenly on Monday morning, Nov. 9, in her home. She was a woman of faith and has now joined the ranks of the church triumphant. One son, Hilbert, preceded her in death on June 27, 1953. Her parents and three sisters also preceded her passing.

She is survived by her husband; one sister, Ida Albright of Thermopolics [sic Thermopolis], Wyo.; and six brothers, Jake of Corvellis [sic Corvallis], Mont., Pete, Clarence, and Emil of Glendive, Mont., Henry of Malta, Mont., and Ed of Salt Lake City, Utah.

She also leaves her own family: one daughter, Esther, and husband Eldon Kater of Mulvane, Kan.; three sons and their wives, Milton of Moundridge, Walter of Wichita and Harvey of Downey, Calif.; and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hilbert Grundman, Wichita. There are nine grandchildren.
