SIMON GRIESER

Simon Grieser, son of Ben and Anna (Oswald) Grieser, was born Dec. 23, 1892. He quietly passed away at the Spencer Hospital, Meadville, Penna. On March 10,1 959, at the age of 66 years, two months and 17 days.

Simon was baptized at the Beemer, Nebr. Mennonite Church in his youth. At the time of his death he was a member of the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, Conneaut Lake, Penna.

On April 2, 1918, he was married to Lovina Egli at Manson, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Warren of Conneaut Lake, Wayne of Harmonsburg, Pa., and Daniel at home; six daughters, Kathryn Mae (Mrs. G. A. Bachman) of Lynwood, Calif., Mary Ann (Mrs. Kenneth Miller) of Hartstown, Pa., Fern (Mrs. Russell Massanari of Fisher, Ill., June (Mrs. Donald Junker) of Union City, Pa., Ruth (Mrs. Melvin Oyer) of Roanoke, Ill., Shirley (Mrs. Ray Schertz) of Saybrook, Ill.; four brothers, Pete of Beemer, Nebr., Chris and Ben of Frazee, Minn., Dan of Alliance, Nebr.; six sisters, Lizzie (Mrs. Julius Miller) of Hydro, Okla., Lena (Mrs. Simon Birky) of Detroit Lake, Minn., Annie (Mrs. Dave Erb) of Frazee, Minn., Mary (Mrs. Menno Erb) of Wakefield, Nebr., Rose (Mrs. John Waters) of Hydro, Okla., and Kathryn (Mrs. Julius Kerler) of Portland, Oregon; four step-brothers, three step-sisters, and 18 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Chris Eichelberger, an infant son, Vern, and two brothers.

Funeral services were held at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church in charge of Harvey Schrock, assisted by Daniel Johns. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
