NEWTON AND VICINITY

Willard E. Graber, 81, a farmer and retired clerk for Graber's Hardware in Newton, died Feb. 8 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. Services were held at First Mennonite Church of Newton. Survivors include his wife, Martha; a son, Leland R. of Halstead; three daughters, Elaine Dean of Newton, Norma Yoder of Escanaba, Mich., and Rosetta Mae Gregg of Las Cruces, N. M.; two stepdaughters, Marlene Schmidt of Newton and Wanda Lowenstein of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, R. A. Graber of Hesston; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. His first wife, Linda, died in 1982.
