SERVICES FOR FORMER FHA OFFICIAL HELD AT PRETTY PRAIRIE

Pretty Prairie, Kans. — Jonas W. Graber, 63, who served for many years in state and national government agencies, died at Grace hospital in Hutchinson July 29. He was widely known as a state and reginal [sic] director of the Federal Housing Administration, retiring a year ago after 17 years of service.

Funeral services were conducted July 31 at the First Mennonite church here, Dr. H. G. Nyce officiating.

Mr. Graber was born and reared here, graduated from the local high school and Bethel college. As a young man he operated hardware stores here and at Kingman, and was elected to the state legislature for three terms. From 1932 he served in various government agencies in Washington, D. C. and Kansas.
