Jacob E. Graber

Jacob E. Graber, son of Joseph and Katherine Graber, was born near Four Corners, Jefferson county, Iowa, on January 24, 1863. He departed this life at his late home near Rome, Iowa, on June 15, 1928, at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 21 days. Mr. Graber's health has been failing for several years and the last few months he was helpless, yet he bore his sickness patiently. He united with the Mennonite church in his boyhood days and remained a faithful member until his death.

On March 11, 1896, he was united in marriage with Barbara Roth. To this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters. He leaves to mourn his departure, his deeply bereft widow, three sons, Elmer, Glen and Donald; two daughters, Grace and Gladys; one brother, John, of Mt. Pleasant; five sisters, Mrs. Lena Roth of Canby, Oregon; Mrs. Katie Rich of West Point, Nebraska; Mrs. Leah Roth and Emma and Mary Graber of near Trenton. Two brothers and two sisters having preceded him into the Great Beyond.

The funeral services were held last Sunday afternoon at the green Mound church. It was in charge of his pastor, Rev. Elmer Basinger, who was assisted by rev. Cabbage. A quartet from Wayland sang several beautiful and touching hymns.l The funeral was largely attended. interment was made in the Green Mound cemetery. — Wayland (Iowa) News.
