AARON GOOSSEN

On December 28 the Lord called home Mr. Aaron Goossen, 91, of Herbert, Sask. He had spent the last year or so in the Herbert home for the aged. Born May 25, 1876, in Freeman, South Dakota, Mr. Goossen had lived in Saskatchewan since 1914. He was married to Pauline Adrian in 1904, but in 1906 she passed away. Two children were born to his first marriage. Then in 1907 he married Anna Fast, a marriage that God blessed with eight children. After moving to Canada he farmed first at Herbert, until 1934, and later at Foam Lake, until 1951. They came to live at the Herbert home for the aged in 1966.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; sons Isaac and William of Foam Lake and Leonard of Moundridge, Kansas; daughters (Mrs.) Martha Goosen of Buhler, Kansas, (Mrs.) Nettie Loewen of Morse, Sask., Eva of Saskatoon, Emma of Waldheim, and (Mrs.) Mathilda Friesen of Foam Lake.
