Pennsylvania Youth Drowns in Ocean Off Florida Coast

Ephrata, Pa. — A swimming tragedy in the Atlantic Ocean off Miami Beach, Fla. claimed the life of Charles H. Good, 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester H. Good of East Earl.

The youth and two companions, Nelson Sauder and Lamar Zimmerman, both of Lancaster County, became stranded on a sand bar. They struck out for shore in spit of a heavy undertow, and the Good youth disappeared. The body was recovered about 20 minutes later.

The young man, a 1966 graduate of Lancaster Mennonite School, was in Florida visiting his sister, Mrs. Raymond Martin and family of Homestead. The funeral was conducted April 9 at Weaverland Mennonite Church, Terre Hill.
