Two Young Women Killed in Highway Accident in Virginia

Dayton, Va. — The entire community of Dayton was grieved by a highway accident which took the lives of two young women on Jan. 10. It was one of the worst accidents ever experienced here.

Mrs. Edith Good, 23, and her sister-in-law, Miss Alice Good were killed when the wagon on which they were riding, was struck by a car driven by Forest H. Rader of Dayton. Mrs. Good's husband, John Good, was driving the tractor which pulled the wagon.

Both Mrs. Good and her sister-in-law were thrown from the wagon by the impact. Miss Good died instantly and her sister-in-law was admitted to the hospital and died the following day after undergoing brain surgery.

Mrs. Edith Good is survived by her husband and a three-month-old daughter, Frances Ann. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Wenger, she was married in December 1960. Alice Good was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Good of Route 3, Harrisonburg.

Double funeral services were held Jan. 14 at the Pleasant View Mennonite Church where both were members.
