SUSIE BRANDT GOERTZ

Susie Brandt Goertz was born July 29, 1889, to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brandt in Goessel, Kan. and departed this life on June 10, 1959, in Gotebo, Okla. She reached the age of 69 years, 10 months and 12 days.

She moved with her family from Goessel, Kansas, to a farm east of Gotebo, Okla. in 1901.

She was baptised upon her confession of faith and joined the Ebenezer Mennonite church near Gotebo on June 2, 1907, and continued to be an active member of the church until her death.

Susie was united in marriage to Abraham H. Goertz on Sept. 26, 1909. To this union were born three boys and one girl.

Her husband, Abraham, and one son, Albert, preceded her in death. Children surviving are Ewalt A. Goertz, Midwest City, Okla., Ernest Goertz, Gotebo, Okla., and Mrs. Edna Lawrence of Ardsley, New York.

Also surviving are three brothers, J. J. Brandt, Gotebo, Okla., John Brandt, Globe, Ariz. and Henry Brandt, Goessel, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. John Fleming, Gossel [sic Goessel], Kan. and Mrs. Cathrine [sic Katharina] Reimer of Evert [sic Everett], Wash., and seven grandchildren.
