FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT GOSHEN COLLEGE FOR ACCIDENT VICTIM

Goshen, ind. — A large number of relatives and friends attended the final services for Loren Gingerich, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gingerich at the Goshen College chapel on Monday afternoon, Nov. 10. Rev. Lester Hostetler of North Newton, Kansas, was in charge.

The youth suffered a fatal head injury while delivering papers at the northeast edge of Goshen on Friday evening, Nov. 7, when his bicycle was struck from the rear by a car driven by Howard Wenger of route 1, Goshen. He passed away six hours later at Goshen hospital. The driver did not see the bicycle in time to avoid the accident, and was not held.

A brother, Owen, survives in addition to the parents. The family moved from North Newton, Kansas, to Goshen only last July, when Mr. Gingerich assumed the directorship of the Mennonite Research Foundation.
