WELL-KNOWN RETIRED FARMER PASSED AWAY AT BERNE, IND.

Berne, Ind. — A large congregation attended funeral services at the First Mennonite church here on March 27 for Edwin H. Gilliom, 70, who passed away in his sleep the morning of March 24. The services were conducted by Rev. N. J. Schmucker in the absence of the pastor, Rev. Olin Krehbiel.

Mr. Gilliom, a retired farmer, had lived in this community for 57 years. He was a township trustee here for four years and was active in the work of the local church, serving as Sunday School teacher and church secretary.
