TWO WINKLER RESIDENTS FATALLY INJURED IN AUTO ACCIDENTS
Winkler, Man. — Cornelius Neufeld, 16 son of Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Neufeld, and Jacob W. Giesbrecht, 48, lost their lives in automobile accidents, both of which happened on Thursday, July 18.
Giesbrecht was fatally injured near Plum Coulee when he stopped to repair lights on his car while on the way home from Winnipeg at about 10:30 P.M. Blinded by a passing truck, Wm. M. Enns, Winkler grain dealer, crashed into the Giesbrecht car.
Neufeld suffered fatal head injuries when the army vehicle in which he and several other passengers were riding turned over one mile west of Winkler.
