• Funeral services for Edward A. Gering, 84, long-time resident at Anthony, Kan., were conducted Saturday at the Parsons Funeral Home there by Rev. Robert Fleener. Formerly owner of the Anthony Tire Hospital, he died Aug. 12 at Anthony Hospital after a sudden illness. He was a native of Freeman, S. D. and a member of the Salem Mennonite Church there. Surviving are his widow, the former Anna Wedel, one daughter, two sons, brothers and sisters.
