Retired Teacher Died Of Heart Attack
FUNERAL SERVICES FOR D. S. GERIG HELD AT GOSHEN, IND.
Goshen, Ind. — Daniel S. Gerig, 80, former college and high school instructor here, died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday morning, Oct. 2, while teaching a Sunday school class at the Eighth Street Mennonite Church.
Funeral services were to be held at the local church Oct. 5, Rev. Robert Hartzler officiating.
Mr. Gerig, a native o Smithville, Ohio, formerly taught languages and served as registrar and dean of Goshen College. Later he served 29 years as social science instructor at Goshen High School.
