Esther (Hilty) Gerber, 79, passed away Jan. 8 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles. She leaves her husband, Roy, of the home; two sons, Dr. John F. of Gainsville, Fla., and Melvin of Versailles; two daughters, Barbara Hall of Mesa, Ariz., and Janet Vest of Kansas City; five brothers, Carl and Paul, both of Versailles, Hiram of Greensboro, N. C., Peter Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Calvin of Strathmore, N. C.; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 10 at the church by her pastor, Bruno Penner. Interment was in the church cemetery.
