C. J. Gerber, 95, died Dec. 27 at Hubbard Hill Estates, where he had lived since 1984. Prior to moving to Hubbard Hill he resided on West Waterford Street in Wakarusa. He was a school teacher and principal at Wakarusa Schools for 26 years. Surviving are one son, Dr. Max Gerber, Elkhart; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Another son, Dr. Richard Gerber, died in 1977. Funeral services were held at Wakarusa Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Bob Priest and Floren Mast in charge. burial was in Olive Cemetery.
