text of obituary:

DELLA LUCILLE GEISER

Della Lucille (Nussbaum) Geiser was born to Samuel E. and Lina (Amstutz) Nussbaum on Oct. 29, 1926, on the parental homestead near Kidron, Ohio; departed this life in her home on Aug. 8, 1963 following on extended illness, age 36 years, 10 months, nine days.

Her early departure concluded a life of loyal faithfulness to her Lord, having confessed her Saviour in her youth and by baptism becoming a member of the Sonnenberg Mennonite Church in which fellowship she remained until her translation.

She and Clayton D. Geiser became life partners in marriage on June 20, 1948. He, with the following children who graced their home, mourn her passing: Thomas Clayton, 13; Warren Keith, 11; Norman Lynn, 8; William Ray, 5; and Anita Louise, 2.

Della, the youngest daughter, is the first to be called to break the family circle in death except by her mother who preceded her in1959. Besides her father, Samuel E. Nussbaum, Della is also survived by three brothers and four sisters: Harvey, George, William, Esther (Mrs. Amos Steffen), Edna (Mrs. Paul Hilty), Pauline (Mrs. Lee Gerber) and Vernea (Mrs. Edwin Steiner), all of the local community.

Her brief sojourn among us has left lasting and wholesome impressions. Her unwavering devotion to her husband and family, her deep concern for the spiritual health and quality of the church and her unselfish interest in all about her establish for her a permanent memorial to her fruitful life.

Her sweet soprano voice so constantly raised in praise to her God, is now transplanted into the heavenly choirs. Her figure among the Nussbaum Sisters Trio remains to all a memory of continued inspiration.

In her last hours of suffering, her resignation to God's desired purpose was reflected in her expressed desire for Jesus to come and bear her Home.

Services were held at the Sonnenberg Mennonite Church on Sunday, Aug. 11, in charge of I. Mark Ross, assisted by Bill Detweiler. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
