ELIZABETH GARBER

Mrs. Elizabeth Garber of Versailles, Mo. died Dec. 9, 1957. She was born in Elkton, Mo. on April 21, 1898, daughter of Moses and Sarah Raber Diener who live near Versailles.

She was married to Edwin Roy Garber on Dec. 5, 1919. Mr. Garber preceded her in death in 1951.

She became a member of the Mennonite church in her youth and regularly attended services at the Bethel church as long as her strength permitted. Several months ago she moved from her farm home near Versailles to St. Louis, Mo. to live with a daughter, Mrs. Lena Alexander and husband where she passed to her reward.

Funeral services were conducted to [sic] Paul E. Hilty and Leroy Gingerich at the Bethel Mennonite church on Friday, Dec. 13. She was laid to rest in the church cemetery.

She is survived by seven sons, Raymond of Versailles, Ed of Tipton, Mo., Robert of Showbogen, Maine, Dennis of Fortuna, Homer of Versailles, Bill and Norman of Kansas City; six daughters, Mrs. Pauline Wulf [sic Wulff], Mrs. Ina McCormack of India, Mrs. Lena Alexander, Mary and Velma of St. Louis, and Mrs. Rosella Fulks of California, Mo.
