MARGARETHA GADE

Margaretha Gade was born in Hiershau, Russia on Sept. 29, 1870. At the age of four years she came to America where her parents settled near Henderson, Neb.

At the age of 17 years she received Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and was received into the fellowship of the Ebenezer Mennonite church.

On Jan. 17 1893 she was united in marriage to Peter H. Gade. They came to Fontana, Calif. in 1936 where her husband passed away on Feb. 8, 1940. The last 11 years of her life were spent in Reedley and Fresno, Calif. She was a member of the Grace Mennonite church, Reedley. She had a deep concern for the spiritual welfare of all those dear to her.

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, she went to be with the Lord whom she loved and served.

She is survived by two daughters, Lena Gade of Fresno, and Nettie Becker of Fresno; two sons, Henry of Fresno and Peter of Grants Pass, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Lena Schierling of Henderson, Neb.; one brother, A. C. Wall of Dallas, Oregon; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives and friends. — The Children.
