GERTRUDE FUNK

Gertrude Funk died Dec. 28. She was born Nov. 6, 1930 in Blumenort, Sask. to John and Helena Goosen. The family moved to Greendale, B.C. in 1944. She married Peter Funk Oct. 16, 1953. She was a prayer warrior, always adding names and concerns to her list. She served in ladies clubs, DVBS, and choir, and volunteered at the MCC store. Gardening, vacationing, canning, baking and spending time with children and grandchildren were her joys. She is mourned by Peter; daughters Sylvia Pauls and Colleen Isfeld of Abbotsford; sons Gary of Abbotsford and Bob of Puyallup, Wash.; 12 grandchildren; 7 siblings. The memorial service was Dec. 31 in Ross Road Community Church, Abbotsford, with Rudi Willms ministering.
