PETER B. FROESE

Our dear husband and father, Peter B. Froese, was born Jan. 13, 1881, at Buhler, Kansas, and departed this life Dec. 16, 1952, at the age of 71 years, 11 months, and three days.

He was baptized Oct. 1, 1905, in the Hebron Mennonite church by Rev. Abraham Martens and later united with the Buhler Mennonite church in October 1945, where he remained a member until his death.

He was united in marriage to Lena Johnson May 4, 1906, with whom he shared joys and sorrows, for 46 years. To this union were born one son and two daughters.

He was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather and a good neighbor ever ready to help those in need. His sincere interest and concern for his family, his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren shall always live on in our memories.

He lived on the farm near Buhler, Kansas, until his retirement, in the spring of 1950, at which time he moved to his new home in Buhler where he was able to enjoy only two short years.

He was in fair health until he suffered a light stroke during the night of Dec. 7. Recovery was rapid and he was able to enjoy an early family Christmas at the home of his daughter Dec. 14. Another stroke at 10:15 p.m. on Dec. 16 took him to his heavenly home swiftly without a sign or warning.

He leaves to mourn his departure his bereaved wife, Lena Froese, three children Dora and husband John Zielke of Buhler, Kansas, Alberta and husband John Reimer of Rivers Edge, New Jersey, and Harry and wife Mary of Los Angeles, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother and one sister. Five brothers and one sister have preceded him in death.
