KATIE PANKRATZ FROESE

Mrs. Katie Froese passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 13, 1963, at the Woods Nursing Home, Pryor, Okla., at the age of 57 years, seven months and 29 days.

Mrs. Froese was born in Hydro, Okla. to Jacob and Margaret (Classen) Pankratz on Dec. 14, 1905. She was baptized in the Bethel Mennonite Church, Hydro.

On May 24, 1928 she was married to Jake Froese. They established their home at Inola, Okla. To this marriage four children were born, of which one daughter passed away in infancy.

Soon after they moved to Inola she transferred her church membership from the Bethel Church to the Eden Mennonite Church, Inola, where she remained a member until her death.

One of her greatest joys was to be able to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on May 24, 1953 at the Eden Church with many friends and relatives.

She was subject to many illnesses over a long period of years but was always full of determination to endure without complaining or worrying about herself. As long as she was able to hear she found great comfort in listening to sacred music and songs.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Jake, who stood with her through many joys and sorrows; one daughter, Deloria Jane of the home; two sons, Edward Wayne of the home and Alvin Ben and wife Shirley of Inola; two granddaughters, Linda and Ruthie; and five brothers and five sisters. — The Family.
