SON, DRIVING CAR, CROSSES TRACKS SAFELY, FATHER IS KILLED
Rosenfeld, Man. — Funeral services were held here early in December for Gerh. Froese, who was almost instantly killed when he was struck by a train.
When his son, who was driving the car, first saw the approaching train it was too late to stop. The father jumped out of the car in an effort to escape but stumbled and fell right on the tracks into the path of the locomotive. In an almost miraculous manner the son managed to get across and the car wasn't even damaged.
