text of obituary:

ELDON ROY FROESE

Eldon Roy Froese was born on Sept. 30, 1910, to Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius P. Froese in Reno County, Kansas. He received his formal education in the Buhler schools and also attended Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas.

He was baptized upon his confession of faith in Jesus Christ in the Buhler Mennonite Church in 1928 by Rev. P. R. Voth.

He and Renetta Unruh were united in marriage on Sept. 17, 1933 in Pretty Prairie, Kansas. Three children were born to this union: Kenneth Lyle, Phyllis Jean (who preceded him in death in 1945), and Charles Paul.

He was a lifelong resident of Buhler and a business man for the past 33 years.

He enjoyed comparatively good health until his recent illness in January of 1962, after which he spent considerable time in several hospitals. His condition became critical and on June 15 at 11:50 p.m. he passed away at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Hutchinson, Kansas, at the age of 51 years. His unwavering faith in the Lord endured until the end of his life. His Christian faith in God is expressed in the words he loved from Romans 8:28 “. . . we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

The survivors include: his widow, Renetta, a son, Kenneth Lyle and wife Sandra; Charles Paul of the home; his mother, Mrs. Hulda Froese of Buhler; a sister, Florence Edgier and her husband, Dave, and family of Buhler; and a brother, Art C. Froese and wife Katie of Reedley, Calif.
