text of obituary:

MRS. ABRAHAM D. FRIESEN

Susanna Penner Friesen, daughter of Heinrich H. and Katherine Janzen Penner, was born July 17, 1892 near Hillsboro, Kan.

She was baptized on July 10, 1910 by Rev. H. D. Penner and received into the First Mennonite Church, of which she remained a faithful member until her death.

She was married to Abraham D. Friesen on May 8, 1914. They were permitted to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1939 and their 50th anniversary in May 1964.

/She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was much concerned that her children and grandchildren walk in the paths of the Master Jesus Christ. She loved her church and found it a joy to attend Sunday school services and the Sewing Circle.

With great interest she watched the progress of the new church building and prayed that the Lord might give her strength that she might be able to attend the dedication services. On April 23, 1967, the Lord granted her this desire. Although on a wheel chair, she was permitted to attend, a day she treasured the rest of her days.

Although her health was failing the last years, she still was interested in her home, flowers, relatives and friends.

On May 30, 1967, she entered Salem Hospital to be with her Lord. Those preceding her in death are: two sisters, three brothers and one grandchild.

She leaves to mourn her passing: her bereaved husband, A. D. Friesen; children, Linda and Milton Bartel, Aberdeen, Idaho, Theo. and Florence Friesen, Hillsboro, Carl H. and Ruby Friesen, Marion, Alvin and Ann Friesen, Hesston, Edna and Irvin Reimer, Hesston, Evelyn and Irvin Harms, Moundridge, 12 grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers.
