MRS A. H. FRIESEN

Mrs. A. H. Friesen, nee Margaret Loewen, was born on Oct. 28, 1882, at Jansen, Neb. and passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 13 at 9:35 P. M. at the age of 73 years, two months and 16 days.

In her youth she accepted the Lord as her Saviour, was baptized upon her confession of faith by Elder A. L. Friesen and accepted into the Mennonite Church at Jansen, Nebraska on June 2, 1901. On Nov. 24 of the same year she was united in marriage to Abram H. Friesen and they moved to Meade, Kansas in 1906. The Lord blessed this union with 10 children, four of whom preceded the mother in death. Joy and sorrows were shared until the Lord took her husband from her side on Jan. 30, 1927.

On April 16, 1944, she was accepted into the Emmanuel Mennonite Church of which she remained a faithful member.

Mrs. Friesen had been ill for many years due to a heart condition and other complications and was hospitalized repeatedly but always rallied. About a month ago she suffered a fractured arm and hip and was taken to the Meade hospital where she gradually failed and on Friday night at 9:35 has now passed from faith to sight and knows how beautiful heaven is become she trusted her Saviour.

Preceding her in death were her husband, A. H. Friesen, who passed away almost 29 years ago; four children, one in infancy, John Peter, and Ike; one sister, Lena, the former Mrs. H. F. Isaac.

She is survived by six children: Margaret (Mrs. Henry A. Friesen), Marie (Mrs. George J. Rempel), Helen at home, Henry, Katherine (Mrs. Abe Z. Friesen), Agnes (Mrs. Henry Z. Friesen); three daughters-in-law, Mrs. Henry L. Friesen, Mrs. John L. Friesen, and Mrs. Ike L. Friesen, and four sons-in-law, all residing in the Meade Community; seven brothers and two sisters, Peter, Jacob, and Henry of Meade, Marie (Mrs. John F. Isaac) of Dinuba, Calif., Agnes (Mrs. P. J. Friesen also of Dinuba Calif., Abe, John, Isaac and William of Meade; 36 grandchildren and two great grand-children.

These and a host of relatives and friends sorrow at the separation and will miss her yet with a deep sense of peace and consolation to know that complete victory is now hers in Christ Jesus. We have the blessed hope of meeting her again to part no more. — The Bereaved Family.
