GERALD JUNIOR FRIESEN

Gerald Junior Friesen, son of Jacob A. and Amanda Friesen, was born June 12, 1945. He reached the age of 15 years, 10 months and five days.

At an early age he accepted Jesus as his personal Saviour. He was baptized in Chateau Creek near Avon, S. D. by Rev. Kirmet Nordun, a missionary of the American Sunday School Union.

In 1958 he became a member of the Emmanuel Mennonite Church near Doland, S. D. He was active in Sunday school and youth activities and enjoyed singing in the choir. He also enjoyed playing the trombone in the high school band.

He was hospitalized for 16 days in the Platte Hospital after a severe case of intestinal flu irritated an ulcer condition. He passed away April 16 at his home in Geddes, S. D.

He leaves his father and mother, one brother and one sister with many sweet memories of his short but joyous, earnest life.

He though being dead, yet speaketh.

Funeral services were held April 18 at the James Valley Christian High School auditorium, Huron, S. D., with Rev. Wilber Schmidt officiating. Burial was made in the Emmanuel Mennonite cemetery.
