23-MONTH-OLD BOY DIES IN HOME MISHAP AT GARDEN CITY

Hutchinson, Kan. — Funeral services were held at Elliott-Gard Chapel here June 20 for Byron Dean Franz, 23-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Franz of Garden city who died of strangulation in a home accident Wednesday, June 17.

The little boy slipped down in his high chair, his head catching between the tray and the chair. He was the couple's only child.

Surviving in addition to the parents are the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hill of Hutchinson and Mr. and mrs. Jacob Franz of Buhler.

BYRON DEAN FRANZ

Byron Dean Franz was born to Mr. and Mrs. Norman W. Franz on July 17, 1957 at Dodge City, Kansas and his short life came to an end June 17, 1959 at Garden City, Kansas when he slipped off his high chair and died of suffocation.

He was an only child, and our home seems empty since his passing. He brought us much joy.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 11:00 from Elliott-Gard chapel in Hutchinson, with burial in Memorial Park cemetery, Hutchinson.

Surviving him beside his parents are the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hill of Hutchinson and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Franz of Buhler; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Hill of Hutchinson; uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert H. Franz, Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Franz, and Milburn Franz, and cousins, Iris Franz, Bradley and Douglas Franz, all of Buhler, Kansas. — The Bereaved Parents.
