MRS. HENRY (MINNIE) FRANTZ

Mrs. Henry Franz, formerly Minnie Janzen, daughter of Gottfred [sic Gottfried] and Mary Janzen, was born on March 23, 1892, at Hillsboro, Kansas. She passed away on July 17,1957, at about 8:00 o'clock in the morning in the Enid Memorial Hospital where she had been admitted with a serious heart condition on June 26. She attained the age of 65 years, three months and 24 days.

In 1893, at the opening of the Cherokee Strip, she and her parents moved to Oklahoma. They settled on a farm near Orienta where she spent most of her life. After retiring from the farm she and her husband moved to Fairview, Okla.

On May 26, 1912, she was baptized upon the confession of her faith by Rev. John Roth and received as member into the fellowship of the Saron Mennonite Church where she remained a faithful member until the day of her death.

On Feb. 13, 1913, she was united in marriage to Henry H. Frantz. For 44 years it was their privilege to share joys and sorrow together. To this union were born five children, all of whom are living.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband Henry J. Frantz [sic Henry H. Frantz]; four sons, Reuben of Wichita, Kansas, Alfred of Fairview, Okla., Orval of Enid, Okla., and Wesley of Orienta, Okla.; one daughter, Miss Esther Frantz of Wichita, Kansas; four daughters-in-law; seven grandchildren; five sisters, Miss Carrie Janzen and Mrs. John Nickel of Orienta, Okla., Mrs. Fred Morawski and Mrs. John Schroeder of Fairview, and Mrs. Charley Seibel of Peabody, Kansas; three brothers, John of Longdale, Okla., Fred of Beaver, Okla., and Jake of Orienta. Her parents, one brother and one grandchild preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a. m. on July 10, 1957, at the Saron Mennonite Church, Orienta, Okla. Rev. A. C. Siebert, the pastor, officiated and interment was made in the Orienta Cemetery. — The Family.
