Auto Accident Takes Life Of Young Man At Mt. Lake, Minn.

TROUBLE WITH CAR LIGHTS RESULTS IN DEATH OF HARRY FOTH, OCT. 14

The Mountain Lake, Minn., Observer gives the following details of an automobile accident there which claimed the life of Harry Foth, 25 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Foth, Monday, Oct. 14:

Death lurked behind the faulty headlights of vehicles on Trunk Highway 71 in Jackson county early Monday morning and took its toll when a car and a truck crashed south of Fish lake.

Killed instantly was Harry Foth, 25-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Foth, who farm west of Delft. Injured was Miss Mabel Messenbrink, passenger in the Foth car.

Harry was driving west on Trunk Highway 71. A truck loaded with potatoes, was driving east on the same stretch of road. Harry had had quite a bit of trouble with the ligths on his car, and had finally given up trying to repair them and had decided to try to get to Windom. Whether the truck's lights were okeh [sic] or not, could not be ascertained.

Miss Messenbrink's injuries were of such a serious nature that she is still confined to the Windom hospital.

Funeral services for you9ng Foth were to be held yesterday, Wednesday afternoon, from the Bethel church. Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters: Linda, Luella and Mabel, and four brothers: Willie, Reuben, Walter and Alfred.
