Verna Foster, 71, of Benedict died Dec. 1 in York. She was born April 7, 1915, at Henderson to Abraham and Susanna (Boehr) Regier. She married Paul Foster on July 1, 1951. She had worked as a nurses' aide at several hospitals. She was a member of the Benedict United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Paul, of Benedict; two sons, John of Garland, Texas, and Gary of Benedict; two grandchildren; one sister, Olga Rempel of Henderson; and four brothers, David, Ferdinand and Ruben Regier, all of Henderson, and Paul Regier of Newton, Kan.
