OFFICE SECRETARY DIES UNEXPECTEDLY AT FORT WAYNE, IND.

Berne, Ind. — Word was received here that Mrs. Clifford Fluckinger, 59, employed in the offices of the Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Co. in Fort Wayne, died unexpectedly Sept. 30 of a heart attack. Mr. Fluckinger is treasurer of the firm.

Mrs. Fluckinger was the former Ella Neuhauser of this community. She was a member of the Evangelical Mennonite church at Archbold, Ohio.

MRS. ELLA FLUCKINGER

Mrs. Ella Neuhauser Fluckinger was born in Berne, Ind. on Feb. 23, 1900 the daughter of Jacob and Rosanna Steiner Neuhouser [sic Neuhauser], and passed away Sept. 30, 1959 at the age of 59 years, seven months and seven days.

She spent her early years in Berne, accepted Christ as her personal Saviour early in life and united with the Evangelical Mennonite church, of which she remained a faithful member throughout life.

She was united in marriage to Clifford Fluckinger on Feb. 24, 1924 and they shared the joys of life for 35 years. For many years they resided at Ridgeville Corners, Ohio where she helped in the work of her husband and took an active interest in the work of the church. She organized the ladies missionary society in the local church and was always interested in mission work and carried a special burden for the Children's Home.

Since 1948 she had resided in Fort Wayne, Ind. and was associated with her husband in the Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Co. Her warm and friendly personality endeared her to all who knew her.

She leaves to mourn her husband, Clifford; one son, Merlin, of Archbold, O.; three daughters, Mrs. Berneta Meller of Swanton, Ohio, Mrs. Phyllis Short of Stryker, Ohio, and Mrs. Carol Miller of Ann Arbor, Mich., ten grandchildren; six brothers, Edwin of Berne, Ind., Henry of Markle, Ind., Harry of West Unity, Ohi, Ezra, David and Menno Neuhauser of Napoleon, Ohio; and many friends.

Her father died in 1941 and her mother in 1956.

Funeral services were conducted at the Archbold church Saturday, Oct. 3, 1959 with rev. H. E. Bertsche and Rev. Maurice L. Klopfenstein officiating. Internment [sic] was made at the Pettisville cemetery.
