DAVE FLICKNER

Dave Flickner was born to John and Fanny (Preheim) Flickner on July 17, 1904 near Pretty Prairie, Kan. The following year he moved with his parents to Kingman County, Kansas.

In 1922, upon his confession of faith in Jesus Christ, he was baptize in the Bethany Mennonite Church by Rev. C. J. Voran. He remained a lifelong member.

On Nov. 4, 1934, he was married to Margaret Graber of Pretty Prairie. God blessed this union with three sons: Everett, Ellis and Elbert, and one daughter, Cheryl.

As an active participating member in the church, he taught Sunday school and served on various committees and boards. He also served on various committees and served his community on the District School Board for many years. He enjoyed his occupation of farming and livestock raising.

The family experienced joys and sorrows, pain and pleasures, hardships and blessings. His active life began ebbing about two years ago, which resulted in leaving the arm and moving into Kingman. His condition weakened until he was a complete invalid. He was admitted to the Kingman Community Hospital on Oct. 26, 1972. During all this time he maintained a cheerful outlook and shared pleasant times. The Lord called him home Nov. 6.

Sharing the loss of his passing are his beloved wife; his children, Everett and Sharon, Ellis and Sharon, Elbert and Beverly, and Cheryl; six grandchildren; three sisters, Lydia, Mrs. Ed Voran of Pretty Prairie, Anna, Mrs. Ed Schroeder of Tulsa, Okla., and Mary Ratzlaff, Kingman; two brothers, John of Kingman and Joe of Walton.
