— Word has been received here that two well known members of the Pretty Prairie community, Andrew J. Stucky and Ben J. Flickner, died there early this week. Funeral services for Mr. Stucky were held Tuesday and for Mr. Flickner on Wednesday. Both funerals were at the Pretty Prairie Mennonite church, with Dr. Howard G. Nyce officiating, assisted by Rev. P. P. Tschetter.

Two Funeral Services At Pretty Prairie

Pretty Prairie, Kan. — Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite church last week for two long-time residents here, both of whom were among the Mennonite immigrants from Russia in 1874.

Services were held Tuesday afternoon for Andrew J. Stucky, retired farmer and resident here since 1918. A former resident of the Moundridge community, he died at his home Feb 19 at the age of 86. Two sons, two daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive.

On Wednesday afternoon services were held for Ben J. Flickner, 90, who died at Broadacres home for aged, Hutchinson, also on Feb. 19. A blacksmith for many years, he also came here from Moundridge. He leaves one son, two daughters, grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
