Seminary Student Dies In Car-Train Crash

VICTOR FLAMING WAS GRADUATE OF TABOR COLLEGE, HILLSBORO

Fresno, Calif. — Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Brethren Church here Jan. 12 for Victor A. Flaming, first year student at the M. B. Biblical Seminary who was fatally injured in an early morning railroad crossing accident Jan. 10.

The service was in charge of the pastor, Rev. G. H. Jantzen, assisted by Rev. B. J. Braun, seminary president, and Rev. H. H. Crabtree, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle where Mr. Flaming had recently been made assistant pastor. The body was sent to Corn, Okla. for final services and burial.

Mr. Flaming, en route to his work as dairy tester for the Fresno County Dairy Herd Improvement Assn., crashed into the side of a freight train near Fresno. The crossing was shrouded in dense fog.

Formerly of Premont, Texas, he was a graduate of Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kan. Survivors include his wife, the former Sara Ann Reimer, and two small daughters, Rachel and Saralyn; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Flaming of Premont; four brothers; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Flaming of Hillsboro.
