DALE KEITH FLAMING

Dale Keith Flaming was born January 30, 1948 in Dallas, Ore. to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Flaming. Later in that year the family moved to a farm near Paxton, Neb. Dale received all of his education in the Paxton elementary school, finishing the sixth grade last spring.

At the age of six during Daily Vacation Bible School, Dale realized his personal need of a Saviour and in child-like faith accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and forgiveness of his sins. On a number of occasions he expressed his faith and trust, especially in Sunday school and mid-week prayer service. At the last prayer service he expressed his concern for his small brother Randall's physical condition and asked his fellow classmates to help him pray for him. Psalm 23:1 was a favorite of his which he would quote on numerous occasions.

Dale was a loving and obedient boy, showing his love to his parents and family by helping in whatever way he could. He was looking forward to the time when his brother Gaylord would return home and the family would be complete, and rejoiced when Gaylord arrived a few days before he was called away.

He went home to be with the Lord at about 5 p.m. on Sunday July 17, 1960 through a drowning accident. He reached the age of 12 years, six months, and 17 days. He leaves to mourn his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Flaming; two brothers, Gaylord and Randall; three sisters, Beverly, Sherolyn and Carol; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Planert [sic Plenert] of Hillsboro, Kan., a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.

We mourn the passing of our loved one but not as those who have no hope. We are confident that for Dale to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. — The Family.
